Nuno started the way most useful things do: with a problem we couldn’t solve any other way. Every evening looked the same in our own homes — countdowns, reminders, and the same negotiation over “just five more minutes,” over and over, on repeat.
Clocks and phone timers didn’t help. To a five-year-old, “you have twelve minutes left” doesn’t mean much. But a shrinking circle of light? That, they understand instantly.
So we set out to build something different: a timer kids could see, not just hear. No screens, no apps, no numbers to decode — just a simple, visual way to understand that time is passing, and what comes next.
What began as a fix for our own chaotic evenings turned into Nuno: a screen-free visual timer built to bring a little more calm, confidence, and independence to family routines everywhere.
